The Irish Blood Transfusion Service have a clinic taking place this Sunday, June 8th, in the Knocklyon Community Centre from 12.30pm to 4pm.

The is a particular shortage at the moment  O+ and A+ blood donors and they are asking donors to  make a special effort to give blood this week. This week alone 1,500 O+ donations and 850 A+ donations are needed  in order to keep blood supply in Irish Hospitals at a healthy level.

The Irish Blood Tranfusion Service recommends that you have eaten something and have had plenty of cold drinks before donating and that you allow yourself about an hour to an hour and a half to complete the process at the clinic from registration to refreshments.
